How to make the right choices about supplements?

The best choice is to make a list of good and bad supplements with the best and worst products in each category. Then pick a few products from that list and get started on your journey. If you are new to supplement science, it may be helpful to start out with the more common supplements first, like omega-3 and green tea, as these are more readily available than other supplements.

Once you have your list, you can begin making better, better choices. As I mentioned in the last chapter, it is important to start by choosing one or two supplements that you really want to get off the list. Then start searching the internet for more of those products so that you can get a feel for them and choose ones you like. Then start picking ones from the list that you are most interested in, and start researching them as you read more about them. For the rest, you will continue to improve your knowledge of the products you want to use and can then focus on getting your money's worth from the products you like. If you do not know which supplements will work best for you, you may want to start by looking at some of the many supplements listed in the Appendix of this book. You may find them helpful and start with them if you are just beginning to supplement.
